Job Summary

Cash Management Product Organization focus on establishing product vision, strategy and roadmap for the newly established Cash Management business in RBC US. Payment product is the foundation of the cash management business. The Sr Payment Product Manager is responsible for leading the end to end payment product development life cycle, including working with the product leadership to establish product vision, strategy and roadmap. Sr. Product Manager is also responsible for define, prioritize and implement payment products across all rails for the US cash management to deliver client backed digital first solutions. The Sr. product manager will operate with the agile delivery approach and work collaboratively with teams across engineering, operations, sales, legal, compliance, risk and strategic vendors deliver innovative and best in class outcome.

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Payment Product Manager within RBC Capital Markets US Cash Management team will handle all payment product management, development efforts and working closely within the agile delivery framework.

What will you do?

  • Partners closely with other product groups such as strategy, design and go to market to drive forward product strategy, product roadmap and product delivery.
  • Contribute the vision and the road map for Cash Management payment products such as Fedwire, ACH, RTP, cross currency (FX) that will create differentiating client experience and underpin the growth of the business.
  • Leading payment development following the strategy and roadmap in the agile delivery environment, including but not limited to drafting, grooming and prioritizing user stories backlog, business process mapping, UAT and production release support.
  • Acts as the voice of the user in product design, based on direct feedback from clients or internal users for core payment product offering.
  • Collaborate with cross divisional teams such as operations, legal, compliance and risk where needed to progress the product development and product launch. Contribute to the Go-to-Market readiness for product roll outs, such as supplying training and support to teams in Operations, Client Services, Sales and other functional areas.
  • Evaluating processes and resources to find potential limitations in product. Modifying designs to maximize client adoption and product quality.
  • Stay current or take part industry forums where necessary such as AFP and Nacha conference (remote or in person) where needed to gain industry and client insight and support of future and emerging products development.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years of working experience in financial industry, preferably Cash Management or Transaction Banking. 7+ years of in-depth knowledge in payment products such as SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, RTP or FX
  • In-depth knowledge in payment rail format such as MT, ISO20022 standards
  • 3+ years of experience in hand on agile development in a product owner role, including creating user stories, backlog refinement.
  • Strong stakeholder management; experience navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in building web-based payment product .A good understanding of innovative technologies and current technology trends
  • Working knowledge in digital channel product knowledge such as host to host, API, SWIFT and TMS/ERP integration.Working knowledge in the pricing strategy for payment product in the industry
  • Good understanding of Corporate Banking, Cash Management, and / or Capital Markets.Agile scrum environment and continuous integration experience. Must be able to see tasks through to completion without close managerial oversight

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $150,000-$200,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
