Position Description

Service Advisor
Minot, North Dakota

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the entire workflow and successful outcome of each job.
· Initial customer contact, to include greeting the customer, open work order, capture comprehensive
complaint, unit information, etc
· Create and present quote to the customer on repair costs
· Schedules and plans work for diagnosis and repair of diesel engines
· Communicates with customers and associates daily
· Prepares and processes warranty claims
· Direct supervision of technicians and indirect supervision of parts personnel
· Inside and outside service marketing
· Process repair orders for customer invoicing
· Provide hands-on technician assistance as needed
Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities by Dimension:

Functional/Technical Qualifications:
· Basic knowledge of diesel engine technology
· Excellent customer service skills
· Computer Keyboard and PC skills including experience with Email, internet explorer and MS Office
(Access, Word, Excel).
· Education (some college preferred) or experience in a related field
· Prior marketing skills
· Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone)
· Ability to communicate technical information effectively
· Demonstrated ability to work through conflict and use effective problem solving techniques
· Demonstrated ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.

· Ability to contribute to system improvement process
